The Henry Dale and Betty Smith Football Center opened in August 2019. The world-class 107,650 square foot, $79.2 million facility is the home for Fighting Illini football.

New state-of-the-art indoor practice facility for Fighting Illini baseball.

Particularly the training room, weight room, and locker rooms that could affect numerous sports, including volleyball, wrestling, men’s and women’s gymnastics, and men’s and women’s track and field.
To include improved fan amenities in the east stands, in the form of enhanced concessions and restrooms, along with sweeping improvements to the south stands, featuring a new seating bowl that extends closer to the action on the field.
