To pursue championships, we need top student-athletes from across the country and around the globe to choose the University of Illinois to further their educations and their respective athletic careers.
With that in mind, we have developed an aggressive agenda for facility improvements.
Featuring locker rooms and player spaces, sports medicine facilities, weight room, nutrition, meeting rooms, coaches’ offices, equipment, and recruiting areas.
Including expanded and improved areas for sports medicine and student welfare, strength and conditioning, food preparation and student dining, and academic services.
New stand-alone practice and competition venues for soccer, along with locker rooms and team spaces.
Including indoor hitting and practice spaces, chair back seating, and improved restrooms, concessions, and fan amenities.
With new field event venues and improved spectator and student-athlete amenities.
Particularly the training room, weight room, and locker rooms that could affect numerous sports, including volleyball, wrestling, men’s and women’s gymnastics, and men’s and women’s track and field.
To provide additional space for playing courts, weight room, training room, team areas, and coaches’ offices.
To include improved fan amenities in the east stands, in the form of enhanced concessions and restrooms, along with sweeping improvements to the south stands, featuring a new seating bowl that extends closer to the action on the field.
