Hosted by Director of Athletics, Josh Whitman, donors giving $12,000 or more are invited to join coaches and student-athletes at a unique location on campus for a night dedicated to celebrating our most loyal supporters, and the impact they have on Illinois Athletics.

The 2021 Celebration of giving was held in Grange Grove and featured a cocktail hour meet-and greet with current student-athletes and coaches, followed by dinner and a dessert bar. Donors enjoyed hearing from student-athletes about the impact giving has had on their experience. Legacy Society member, Jana Mitchell spoke about what it means for her to support Illinois Athletics and Athletics Director Josh Whitman closed the event with remarks of gratitude and excitement for the future ahead.
